Canadian airline WestJet has strengthened its transatlantic services by launching a new route between Dublin and St John¡¯s in Newfoundland.
Flights between the two cities, which take around four-and-a-half hours, will operate twice per week during the summer 2025 season.
Eoin McGloughlin, VP of aviation business development at Dublin Airport, said: ¡°This route re-establishes a vital transatlantic link that celebrates the strong historical and cultural ties between Ireland and Newfoundland.¡±
The launch takes WestJet¡¯s total number of services from Dublin up to more than 20 per week. The airline flies to four Canadian cities from the Irish capital, including an expanded schedule to Toronto this summer.
