The budget transatlantic carrier has already subleased the four aircraft to Air Europa and now this arrangement has been further extended by Norse Atlantic.
Under the terms of this extension, three of the Dreamliners will now be returned to Norse Atlantic in spring 2025, while the fourth B787 will rejoin the carrier¡¯s fleet in early May 2024 as it gears up for its peak summer schedule.
The arrangement means that Norse Atlantic, which has a total fleet of 15 aircraft, will operate 12 Dreamliners this summer.?
The carrier serves transatlantic routes from Oslo, Athens, London, Berlin, Rome and Paris after launching its first service in June 2022. Norse Atlantic has already axed two US routes from London Gatwick to Washington DC and Boston this summer.
Bj?rn Tore Larsen, the CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic, said: ¡°This extension to the sublease agreements for four?of?our Dreamliner aircraft provides a further opportunity to increase?secured?total cash profit during the lease period.?
¡°Our strategy is to grow at a steady pace in line with market demand.?We intend to operate 12 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft during our summer 2024 season and we look forward to building up to a fully operational fleet of 15 aircraft in 2025.¡±
