Norse Atlantic Airways is to introduce a new route between Manchester and Bangkok this winter.
The Norwegian budget long-haul carrier will operate the weekly Manchester-Bangkok service from 26 November. Norse Atlantic has already announced plans for a new London Gatwick to Bangkok route from late October, as well as Stockholm-Bangkok flights.
Bj?rn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, said: ¡°This route has been waiting to happen, and we¡¯re proud to be the ones making it a reality. Manchester is a key gateway to the North of England, and Bangkok is a magnet for adventure, business and culture.¡±
The new long-haul route will be the first non-stop service between Manchester and the Thai capital.
¡°Many people from the region travel there every year but until now they have had to book connecting flights,¡± added Manchester Airport¡¯s managing director Chris Woodroofe. ¡°This new route will make a huge difference by meaning people can get there directly from the UK¡¯s global gateway in the North.¡±
