The German airline will operate three weekly flights on the route from 26 October, using Airbus A350-900 equipped with 293 seats across three classes.
Lufthansa last flew the Munich-Riyadh route in 2017 and already operates between its main hub of Frankfurt and the Saudi city.
The reinstated route will see flights depart Munich at 9.45pm for arrival in Riyadh at 4.50am the next day, while the return departs Riyadh at 6.25am and arrives back in Munich at 10.25am.
The move means that Lufthansa, alongside sister carriers Eurowings and ITA Airways will operate 22 weekly departures to the Saudi cities of Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah this winter.
Airline capacity from Europe to Saudi Arabia is set to continue growing in the next decade as the country hosts World Expo in Riyadh in 2030 followed by the FIFA Men¡¯s World Cup football tournament in 2034.
