The industrial action, set to take place between 14:00 and 16:00, will affect the carrier*s flight operations and ground services at Helsinki Airport, and is expected to cause additional delays and disruption for other carriers operating at the airport.
In a statement, the airport said operations ※will be gradually restored after the demonstration§.
Finnair said its planned cancellations will affect approximately 6,500 customers, with the carrier*s chief operating officer Jaakko Schildt insisting ※we will do our very best to offer a suitable new routing to everyone§.
"We are very sorry for the concern and the changes to our customers' travel plans caused by this situation,§ Schildt said in a statement. ※We ask for patience from customers, and we will do our best to ensure that customers can carry out their travel plans despite this unfortunate situation."
Affected travellers will be informed of flight cancellations and offered an alternative booking that can be managed via the carrier*s online and mobile platforms. Alternatively, travellers can cancel their alternative reservation and apply for a refund for the unused ticket, the carrier said.
