Emirates is debuting its new A380 premium economy cabin from today on its daily EK003/004 services between Dubai and London Heathrow.
The new premium economy cabin has 56 seats in a 2-4-2 layout with a seat pitch of up to 40 inches. The seat, which comes with a 13.3 inch screen, is 19.5 inches wide and reclines 8 inches into a cradle position.
The airline took delivery of its newest A380 around Christmas and will take delivery of its remaining order of five A380s with the new premium economy cabin during 2021 and 2022.?
Sir Tim Clark, president of Emirates, said: ¡°While others cut back, Emirates is working hard to restore the products and services that we¡¯ve had to suspend or adjust due to pandemic precautions, and introduce new offerings and enhancements. True to our fly better promise, Emirates continues to invest to offer our customers the best possible experience.¡±
He added: ¡°Until we have a viable number of seats in our inventory to bring to market, we plan to offer the Emirates premium economy experience as a complimentary upgrade to valued customers.¡±
EK003 departs Dubai daily at 14:30hrs, arriving at 18:20hrs in London Heathrow. The return flight, EK004, departs London at 20:20hrs and arrives in Dubai the next day at 07:20hrs.?
Emirates currently serves London Heathrow with five daily flights of which four are operated with an A380. The airline also operates 10 flights a week to Manchester, and daily flights to both Birmingham and Glasgow.
