Emirates will give more European travellers the opportunity to travel in its premium economy cabin as it introduces more of its retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft into the fleet.
The Dubai-based carrier is in the process of fitting its B777s with a new four-cabin configuration, including premium economy and a refreshed business class.
Emirates has announced that the refitted aircraft will be introduced on its Lisbon and Dublin routes on 1 June and 25 June respectively.
Earlier this month, the airline revealed that a retrofitted B777 would start serving the London Stansted-Dubai route from 7 May. Emirates said that its second daily service from Stansted would also use a refitted B777 from 1 June.
As well as the two additional European destinations, Emirates will also add the revamped aircraft on its routes from Dubai to Hong Kong, Kolkata, Colombo, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Male in the Maldives.
Emirates said it planned to offer the upgraded cabins, which are being fitted on its fleet of B777s and Airbus A380s, on routes to 44 cities by September.
