Manchester Airports Group 每 which operates Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands 每 has announced the launch of comprehensive pre-departure testing facilities at its three airports.
The sites, operated in partnership with airport services company Collinson, will offer the &gold standard* PCR test and the Lamp test as well as rapid antigen and antibody tests in a single location.
Test prices start at ?40 for antibody tests, ?50 for antigen tests, ?79 for Lamp tests and ?99 for PCR.
Passengers will also be able to book tests at the centres on their return to the UK in order to shorten their quarantine from 14 to a minimum of five days as part of the UK government*s &test to release* scheme.
?
Certain countries allow pre-departure tests in order to shorten or remove the need to quarantine in the destination while others require tests in order to gain entry.??
MAG is also offering discounts through its website of five per cent on pre-flight tests taken at selected Boots stores on the UK high street, which return results within 48 hours.?

MAG CEO Charlie Cornish said: ※With many countries now welcoming visitors who can show they are infection-free, we wanted to make the process of planning a business trip as easy and cost-effective as possible in the current circumstances.
?
※That is why we have created a booking option on our website, which enables you to select the right test for the right destination, and at the location that is most convenient for you 每 either at one of our airports or on the high street."
??
David Evans, joint CEO, Collinson said: ※In order to restore confidence in travel, it is critical that travellers can navigate the many different testing regimes now required by different governments around the world. We were the first company to set up Covid testing facilities at a UK airport and our partnership with MAG will bring comprehensive testing facilities to Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports. This is a major step forward in opening up the UK to safe travel.§
Aviation bodies yesterday called on governments to scrap what they called 'ineffective' quarantine measures.
