The carrier¡¯s regional subsidiary Hop! operated the flight with the new economy and business cabins between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Hamburg airports on Monday, 1 September.
The refitted Embraer 190 features a total of 110 new seats in a two-by-two configuration. The 46cm-wide leather seats include a retractable stand for portable devices and USB charging points.
Business passengers sit in the aircraft¡¯s front rows with a mobile curtain separating the premium cabin from economy. All business customers will have an empty seat next to them by October 2025.
All passengers will be able to access onboard high-speed wifi, which will be available for free through Air France-KLM¡¯s Flying Blue loyalty programme.
Air France said that all Embraer 190s would be refitted with the new cabin by summer 2026 as it looks to ¡°move upmarket and standardise its product and services¡± on its short and medium-haul network.
The airline also highlighted that the new seat was 30 per cent lighter than the current model, which will reduce the overall weight of the aircraft, resulting in lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
