Radisson Hotel Group has announced plans to open four new properties in Romania within the next three years amid ongoing expansion in Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

The group*s Radisson Red brand will debut in the country in 2027 with the planned opening of Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town. The 104-room property will be housed in a ※fully renovated§ building that dates back to the 1940s. It will also feature a restaurant and bar, lobby lounge with a co-working space and meeting rooms, including a pop-up events venue on the fifth floor.
The 323-room Radisson Lagoon Hotel Bucharest?will also open in the city*s new &Lagoon City* district. The development includes office and retail spaces, restaurants, bars and a 10,000 sqm man-made lagoon with beachfront areas.
Scheduled to open in early 2027, Radisson Blu Grand Mountain Resort, Brasov will include ※luxury accommodation§ with a spa, restaurant and outdoor activities.
Additionally, the?Radisson Blu Resort & Residences, Mamaia, set to open in 2028, will feature 234 guest rooms and 102 branded residences. There*s also a lobby bar and restaurant, a grand ballroom and ※versatile§ meeting spaces.
Radisson executive vice president and chief development officer, Elie Younes, said Romania*s recent accession to the Schengen Area is expected to boost travel, trade and tourism, making it ※a rapidly growing market for hotel development§.
※This development, combined with Romania's size, rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant cities, makes it a candidate for focused growth,§ he said.
Radisson currently operates four hotels in Romania 每 the Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson in Bucharest, the Radisson Blu Aurum Hotel in Brasov and another Radisson Blu in Cluj.
